Auto-rickshaws are a common sight in big and small cities across the country. Commuters do not expect much luxury or special facilities in these three-wheelers but their drivers often upgrade their vehicles in a bid to attract customers.
One such special auto-rickshaw in Bengaluru is now going viral. The swanky vehicle is fitted with plush seats, table trays, and a fan, along with rollable glass windows covering it. There is also a digital screen of sorts next to the steering wheel. To illuminate the interiors, the auto-rickshaw has also been fitted with coloured lights. Additionally, the vehicle’s rear has been adorned with the posters of late actors Shankar Nag and Puneeth Rajkumar.
A video of this auto-rickshaw was posted online by Twitter user Ajith Sahani (@ajithkumar1995a) on June 1. Sahani wrote, “Hello #Bengaluru what a beautiful and wonderful auto . Has anyone traveled so far”.

Earlier this week, a video from Punjab showing an auto-rickshaw fitted with a cooler went viral. In November 2019, Satyawan Gite, a Mumbai-based driver made news for creating a unique ‘home system auto-rickshaw’, equipped with facilities like a washbasin, mobile phone charging points, plants and even a television screen.
