The incident came to light when Bree Steele, a podcaster and influencer, shared the heartwarming experience on Instagram, hailing the cab driver for bringing her food and water.
In the now-viral video, Steele shared that she was stuck in traffic for two hours. Following the inconvenience, the Uber cab driver bought her water, kebabs, and a soft drink and refused to take money.
“Uber drivers in India, or maybe just Mumbai, are icons! I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours because of Chhath Puja (the journey usually takes 15 minutes). My Uber driver was so kind!” she said in the video. “He stopped and bought us water, kebabs, and a can of soft drink.”
“I’ve had so many Uber drivers in Mumbai look after me and help me, and it’s so great!” she wrote. “I had one driver famously get me through flood waters to the airport on time. One driver stopped to retrieve my shoe, which fell out of the auto. And now this!”

And thank you for spreading positivity in India we say “atithi devo bhavah” it means – “Our guests are like god to us,” another user commented.
“Thanks for focusing on good. But not everyone is good and not everyone is bad. Never drop your guard. Happy Journey,” a third user reacted. “Good that you had a nice experience. But for your safety. Do not consume anything offered. Carry your water & emergency snacks during travel to avoid any untoward incident,” a fourth user cautioned Steele.
