A heartwarming video of the Indian Army’s dog squad rehearsing for the 76th Republic Day parade in New Delhi has taken social media by storm. The footage, seemingly captured from a hotel room, gives a glimpse of the disciplined and synchronised training of the canine soldiers.
The video begins with six dogs, each accompanied by their respective handlers, moving gracefully in a circular formation. As the rehearsal progresses, the squad transitions seamlessly into a straight-line march, showcasing their impeccable coordination. Sharing the video on Instagram, a user wrote, “What a beautiful sight of republic day practice at Delhi airport.”

The video quickly gained traction with over 77,00,00 views and more than a million likes, prompting a sea of reactions. “We will have to go protect those wagging pups.. they protect our borders and other spaces, we protect them,” a user wrote.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army’s robotic dogs ‘MULE’ (Multi Utility Legged Equipment) turned heads at the Republic Day parade in Kolkata. Named ‘Sanjay’, the ‘MULE’ is designed for several operations like chemical-biological-nuclear warfare scenarios, asset protection, perimeter security, and others. These robots can function on challenging terrains, such as steep hills. In a video shared by ANI, several robotic dogs were seen synchronising with their respective officers.
