A railway police officer’s swift action saved the life of a passenger who slipped while attempting to board a moving train at Andheri railway station in Mumbai. The incident, which took place on February 16, was caught on camera and netizens hailed the action of the officer.
The viral video shows the passenger falling into the gap between the train and the platform and soon a Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer nearby runs towards the man and pulls him out. As the video progresses, onlookers, including a woman police officer, console the man.
Sharing the video, an X user Hansraj Meena, wrote, “Salute to the alert RPF jawan who saved the life of a passenger at Mumbai’s Andheri railway station! His bravery and promptness prevented a major accident from happening. Such brave security personnel are the real heroes! @RPF_INDIA Please give them due respect.”

“Well done very well done for saving a precious life,” a user wrote. “Salute to him,” another user reacted.
“Huge respect to the cop!Lucky was the passenger that a fit & alert cop was watching and was in close proximity. It would be a lifetime memory of providence. Aside: The lady sitting on the staircase was deeply engrossed in her phone conversation,” a third user commented.
Hailing the officer, the official handle of RPF India on X wrote, “At #Andheri Railway Station, #RPF ASI Pahup Singh emerged as a savior, rescuing a passenger who fell while attempting to board a moving train! Never risk your life by boarding or alighting a moving train.”

In a similar incident, an RPF jawan won plaudits for saving a man’s life after he tried to board a moving train in Bihar in 2023.
