Shah Rukh Khan recently visited Chef Vikas Khanna’s renowned restaurant in New York – Bungalow – where the chef shared a heart-felt moment with the superstar. On Instagram, Khanna posted an unseen photo of Khan looking effortlessly stylish in a black t-shirt and glasses, saying three people hold the most significance in his life: his mother, chef Sanjeev Kapoor, and Shah Rukh Khan.

Khanna, in his post, recounted how Khan took his hand and praised the restaurant for honouring their shared heritage, saying, “Bungalow represents us. Our parents. Our ancestors. Our India.” The chef, deeply moved, admitted he was holding back tears as he gazed at the glass ceiling and noticed a crescent moon shining above.

Vikas also reminisced about his younger days, watching Khan’s films with his sister, especially Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and described the actor as his hero, not just for his work but for his patience, confidence, and compassion. “Today is dedicated to you, Sir,” Vikas concluded, expressing gratitude for the moment that reminded him of his roots and journey.

The post went viral with more than 56,000 likes. Responding to it, Aarti Madan, a chef, commented, “Two beautiful souls together… and both made India proud.”

Another user commented, “Huge respect. Love it when people who leave their homeland but never forget their roots and keep them alive every day.”

A third user wrote, “As much as I admire SRK (he’s my favorite too), I admire you just as much. You both are trendsetters and incredible inspirations for young people everywhere.”

On Khan’s birthday, Khanna made a post on X, expressing his admiration for the superstar. When Khan responded, the celebrated chef was overjoyed and quickly posted a screenshot of the interaction on Instagram, praising the actor’s humble nature.
