Saudia Arabia couple gets married in Red Sea, wedding photos go viral

From beach locations to mountain retreats, destination weddings have become increasingly popular over the years. Several celebrities, including Kourtney Kardashian-Travis Barker, Emily Blunt-John Krasinski, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, and others, set the hottest wedding trend. However, tying the knot in a sea or an ocean is something unheard of, and has never been attempted before.

Hassan Abu Al-Ola and Yasmine Daftardar recently got married under the blue waters of the Red Sea, a sea inlet of the Indian Ocean between Africa and Asia. The one-of-a-kind ceremony was attended by close-knit fellow divers and organised by the local diving group, Saudi Divers, led by Captain Faisal Flemban, Gulf News reported. But this is not it, the diving group also surprised the couple with an underwater celebration. “After we geared up, Captain Faisal and the team told us they had planned to celebrate our wedding right there under the sea. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience,” Abu Ola told Gulf News.

For the special day, the bride donned a white gown while the groom sported a black tuxedo, as seen in the viral photo. They also wore necessary diving gear.

“Alhamdulillah, there were no challenges. The celebration went smoothly, and everyone was amazed by how unconventional and spectacular it was,” Abu Ola said.

The wedding was planned to contribute to the “vision” of Prince Mohammed bin Salman. “This is just one way we can contribute to realizing the vision of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prince of Youth and the visionary leader of our great country,” the groom stated.
