We’re all used to seeing Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal on court. They’re usually on opposite sides of the net, slamming balls across at each other, giving us viewers some of the most beautiful and charged-up tennis games today. Well, Saturday would have been just another day like the many before had it not been for the fact that the arch rivals were on the same side the court, playing together!
The two teamed up to play doubles for the first time for the Laver Cup on September 23. It goes without saying that witnessing the two greats playing together for Europe in Prague was a dream come true for fans. They played against American duo Sam Querrey and Jack Sock and earned a break in the first set to win 6-4, ultimately defeating them 6-4, 1-6, 10-5. Fans all across the globe loved the match and took to Twitter to share their excitement. While some said they have had been “waiting for it for 13 years”, others said that “they need more of this” in their lives. Well, we are not surprised.
Here are some of the reactions.

In spite of all the brouhaha, both of them have ruled out the possibility of a full-time partnership.
