Malala Yousafzai, Nobel laureate and renowned Pakistani activist, is stepping into the world of acting with a striking cowgirl cameo in the second season of Peacock’s hit series, We Are Lady Parts.
The highly-anticipated first-look photos were unveiled ahead of the show’s debut on May 30 in the US via Peacock and on Channel 4 in the UK. It showcases Malala donning a classic western attire, complete with fringe and a cowboy hat, confidently perched atop a horse.
The show is created and written by Nida Manzoor, who is also its executive-producer. Produced by Working Title Television, We Are Lady Parts has garnered attention for its fresh take on Muslim women navigating their lives as part of an all-female punk band. Malala’s cameo adds an unexpected twist to the show’s eclectic mix of characters and storylines.
