For the price of a 1 BHK in Mumbai, you could be living in this Bali paradise. WATCH

Finding an ideal apartment in Mumbai can often feel like chasing a mirage. Sky-high rents, especially in central and suburban hotspots, make even dainty 1BHK flats unaffordable for many. Former actor and travel vlogger Shenaz Treasury recently shared a striking comparison that’s resonating with city dwellers across India, especially those struggling with soaring rents in Mumbai.

In a video posted to her Instagram, Treasury gives a tour of a luxurious villa in Bali, complete with a private pool and lush garden, while candidly comparing it to her compact 1 BHK apartment in Mumbai.

“I pay more rent for my one-bedroom apartment in Mumbai than my friend pays for her villa in Bali,” Treasury says in the video, which begins with clips of her modest Mumbai flat before transitioning to the serene, spacious villa in Bali.

Located just 10 minutes from the beach, the Bali home belongs to her friend Bandana Tewari and features all the comforts: from stylish interiors and soft lighting to modern amenities, open green spaces, and, of course, a private pool.

She also highlighted some of the perks that are making Bali an attractive destination for many Indians, especially remote workers and creatives. “You can live in a villa with a pool for the same price (or less) than a 1BHK in Mumbai, London, or LA. Meals, massages, and transport are affordable — but the quality of life feels high,” she wrote.

Describing Bali as a haven for those seeking a slower, more balanced lifestyle, the vlogger added that the Indonesian island has become a wellness hub. “As the wellness capital of the world, Bali has healing retreats, yoga classes, health cafes, etc — as such, it is perfect for people burnt out by city life,” she shared.

The video prompted reactions from several social media users, who were stunned with the striking rent comparison. “Really a good move bandana. And Imagine being in Delhi with all the pollution,” a user wrote. “With influx of people, bali will also become expensive due to demand and supply when demand will become high. It’s just a matter of time. Till then go and enjoy till it lasts,” another user commented.

“Definitely the cost of living in Bombay is equal to that of London. Bali is definitely awesome, clean and SAFE for global nomads,” a third user reacted.
