Among other notable tech billionaires in India are Azim Premji of Wipro, N R Narayana Murthy, Senapathy ‘Kris’ Gopalakrishnan, Nandan Nilekani, and K Dinesh, all founders of Infosys.
Vembu’s leadership, propelled her forward in the ranks, elevating her from 9th to 7th place among India’s wealthiest women in the Forbes Billionaire list for 2025, in addition to being recognised as India’s richest self-made woman in 2024.
