Messi announces retirement; Twitterati goes into shock and wants him back

Ace Argentenian footballer Lionel Messi announced his retirement from international football, but Twitter fans would have none of it. There's a flood of tweets attempting to convince him to come back.

Ace footballer Lionel Messi has announced his retirement from international football following Argentina’s loss to Chile in Copa America final. Argentina lost to Chile on penalties after both sides failed to break the deadlock. Messi was one of the players who failed to convert from the spot. His shot went sailing over the bar.

Messi, a five times World Player of the Year, broke down after the loss, and it seems the whole world did too. Soon after, Messi made an announcement that has shocked millions, leaving them heartbroken. But, it seems, Twitteri hasn’t given up on him yet, and people have been tweeting ferociously with comments trying to convince the footballer to come back.
