On Monday, broadcaster Sanjana Ganesan shared an Instagram story from Barbados, showing her husband Jasprit Bumrah cautiously looking out at the window amid Hurricane Beryl, which has stranded the Indian cricket team on the island.

After a triumphant match in the ICC T20 World Cup finals, Bumrah and his team have been stuck in Barbados for the past two days due to Hurricane Beryl, disrupting their plans to return home.

Following her initial story, Ganesan posted an Instagram clip of the ocean’s tumultuous waves during breakfast, and another photo featuring her and their toddler enjoying the beach view, which was captioned “counting big waves.”

The expected passage of Hurricane Beryl on Monday turned into a worsening situation as it intensified and shifted towards the southeastern Caribbean, according to the latest updates.

The team’s departure appears to be further postponed due to the severity of Hurricane Beryl. Weather forecasters Larry Kelly and John Cangialosi, have described it as an “extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation.”

AccuWeather Inc’s lead hurricane forecaster, Alex DaSilva, noted that there hasn’t been a Category 4 reported anywhere in the recent past.
