It is not an exaggeration to say that a lot of people are now addicted to scrolling on their mobile phones and can’t stop themselves no matter what they are doing. A video is going viral that shows a groom using his mobile phone while walking down the aisle with his bride and it is not going down well with netizens.

Twitter user Mahuntsu (@Mahuntsu) shared the video on Twitter and wrote, “My body is here with you, but my mind is outside of town.” The clip was originally posted on TikTok by the account @cynthiamunze. The clip shows the groom and the bride walking hand-in-hand. While the bride is looking at the groom, he seems to be busy with his mobile phone.

The netizens wondered what was so important that the groom couldn’t stop looking at his phone.

“I genuinely want to know what he was doing and why she wasn’t bothered,” commented a user. “This better be a skit. If not baby girl get an annulment NOW!!!!!!,” said another. “This is insane… disrespectful and condescending. Totally uncalled for,” expressed a third. “This man won’t ever get that moment back……. And she’ll never forget it. Damn shame,” another person wrote.

Last year, a photo of a groom working on his laptop on his wedding day went viral. While the photo could have been a staged one, intended to be funny, it didn’t go down well with netizens who disapproved of it and charged that it promoted a “toxic work culture”. The photo was posted by Calcutta Instagrammers, an Instagram community of Kolkata.
