It’s not just children who are excited to go out for trick or treat during Halloween, sometimes even elders back home are equally excited to greet the spooky visitors. One such delighted grandpa from Canada is melting hearts online, as he was filmed on a couch waiting patiently for kids to come knocking at his door and he could hand out candies. The footage shared online by his grandson is now going viral and people around the world can’t stop gushing about him.
The video shared on Twitter by Manveer Grewal garnered over 1 million views at the time of writing and people couldn’t stop showering love on the desi grandpa.
Sharing the video online, Grewal, who is a resident of Ontorio, explained that it was the first Halloween after his grandfather “won his battle with cancer” and requested children to visit their home.

When people on Internet asked for an update, Grewal mentioned that his grandfather was bummed as there was heavy rainfall and not many could turn up to collect the candies. However, as the video went viral, he tried to explain it to the elderly man that people around the world are now supporting him.
After 20 mins of explaining the Internet and Twitter to my grandpa, he finally understands the level of support he’s gotten and says he wishes he could give all of you candy ❤️ To every person that stopped to show support, I love and appreciate you for making our day :)
