‘Simply the best’: David Guetta remixes Girl On Couch’s ‘Man In Finance’, fans react

The video grabbed over two million views. Many social media users reacted to the remix. “I don’t know if it will be the song of the summer, but what I do know is that it is catchy and it sounds good,” a user commented. “David, it was a pleasure,” another user wrote.

“That’s my new Summer song,” a third user wrote.

Talking about the song in an interview, Megan Boni had said, “Just thought it would be funny to make a video making fun of those single girls who are always complaining about being single, but yet they want an impossible laundry list of things in a boyfriend, and by the way, that’s myself included.”

Boni, 27, created the song out of dating app fatigue. According to a report in Newsbeat, Boni started jotting down some lyric ideas out of boredom triggered by singlehood. “Dating apps are making dating so much more impossible because they’re really raising everyone’s standards,” she said.

Last month, a matrimonial advertisement featuring the Man In Finance lyrics on a billboard in Mumbai took over social media. The ad read, “Looking for a man in finance, trust fund, 6’5, blue eyes? Look no further.”
