Beyonce’s ongoing Renaissance World Tour is full of spectacular stage designs backed by the latest technology. A clip from the tour’s opening night show held in Stockholm, Sweden, that shows her plain-white costume changing colours through UV lights has netizens in awe. The outfit was designed by Japanese brand Anrealage, which first showcased its ultraviolet colour-changing clothes in a highly talked-about fashion show held at the 2023-24 autumn-winter Paris Fashion Week in France. Beyonce changes into multiple couture outfits throughout her show; however, the magical moment created by the outfit has been one of the most hyped-up moments from Wednesday’s concert. On Thursday, Pop Base tweeted a video of Beyonce’s UV ray-induced costume change. This clip soon gathered over 1.3 million views and 65,000 likes. A Twitter user commented, “Presentation of this cool effect was kind of like watching the behind the scenes of a magic trick tbh”. Another user remarked, “I was wondering when someone would incorporate this tech into a performance — leave it to Beyoncé.” "She is a walking work of art," exclaimed another. However, not all were impressed. A Twitter user jibed, “Someone took inspiration that was spiralling into too many directions and the outcome looks weird. All those are weird. That dress is ugly”.
