The World’s Wealthiest Cities by Millionaire Population in 2025: Do you know where millionaires live globally? While the world today is filled with high-net-worth individuals possessing extraordinary wealth, there is an increasing allure of cosmopolitan cities for the ultra-wealthy.

The United States of America, the country with the highest number of millionaires according to Forbes, leads the World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2025 by Henley and Partners, featuring 11 cities on the list.

The world’s wealthiest city – New York – tops the rankings with 384,500 high-net-worth individuals, followed closely by the Bay Area, which includes the city of San Francisco and Silicon Valley, boasting 342,400 millionaire residents and over 82 billionaires.

Furthermore, Los Angeles, with 220,600 millionaires, ranks 5th this year, overtaking London, which has experienced a decline of 12% in its millionaire population, resulting in a drop to 6th position with 215,700 millionaires.

In a notable mention, Shenzhen and Hangzhou in China, are emerging as the fastest-growing hubs for millionaires, experiencing rapid growth rates of 142% and 108%, respectively.

Remarkably, Dubai, which is experiencing growth of 102%, now boasts 81,200 millionaire residents, propelling it into the top 20 – standing at 18th place in 2025 abd earning the recognition for the most significant climber over the past year.

Rounding up the list, Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, has made its debut this year, ranking 50th with 22,200 millionaires, which has resulted in New Zealand’s city of Auckland dropping out in 2025.

Mumbai, with over 51,000 millionaires, 205 centi-millionaires, and 25 billionaires, has demonstrated a strong growth of 69% in millionaire numbers over the past decade, while Delhi, with 31,200 millionaires and 16 billionaires, has witnessed an impressive 82% growth in millionaires over the last decade.

Notably, Bengaluru, with 43 centi-millionaires, is emerging as one of the significant wealth hubs, or centi-millionaire city hotspots, over the next decade, the report highlights.
