Top 10 Richest People in the Word (2025): The Hurun Global Rich List 2025 has recently announced a record-breaking total of 3,442 billionaires worldwide, reflecting an increase of 163 compared to the previous year. India follows the United States and China, maintaining its third-place ranking, with 284 billionaires—an increase of 13—in 2025.
Unsurprisingly, Elon Musk tops the list as the richest person in the world for the fourth time in five years, with a net worth of $420 billion—an impressive 82% increase or $189 billion driven by a surge in Tesla’s stock price.
Following Musk is Amazon’s Jeff Bezos with $266 billion and Mark Zuckerberg making history by breaking into the top three for the first time with $242 billion, an increase of 53% ($84 billion), driven largely by Meta’s successful investments in AI.
Meanwhile, Jensen Huang of NVIDIA saw his wealth nearly triple to $128 billion, securing the 11th position; Liang Wenfeng, CEO of DeepSeek from Hangzhou, and Sam Altman of OpenAI entered the Hurun Global Rich List for the first time, with net worths of $4 billion and $1.8 billion, respectively.
Another noteworthy feature is of the US President, Donald Trump, who now is the richest U.S. president in history, with his wealth nearly tripling to $7.2 billion, owing to his 53% stake in Truth Social, Hurun reported.

According to the Hurun report, the number of billionaires increased by 5%, with their total wealth rising by 13%; however, conversely, 1,260 individuals experienced a decrease in wealth, with 177 falling off the list and 399 remaining unchanged.

Sergey Brin has re-entered the Hurun Top 10, displacing Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani of Reliance at rank 17th. However, despite losing out in the Global 10, Ambani regained the title of ‘Richest Person in Asia and India’ with $100 billion, followed by Gautam Adani at 18th with $99.7 billion.
In a notable mention, Roshni Nadar and her family of HCL, valued at $40 billion, made history as the first woman to enter India’s top 10 billionaires list, standing at 36th globally and ranked as the world’s 5th wealthiest woman in the Hurun Global Rich List 2025.
