Transporting heavy pieces of furniture from one building to another is no easy task. Ideally, people would hire professionals to do all the heavy lifting. However, in India most tasks are done using jugaad, or improvisation.

A video of a group of people transporting a large piece of furniture out of a second-storey building using ropes is going viral. A clip documenting this unique transportation trick was posted online by popular Instagram account @_aamchi_mumbai_.

So far it has over got 74,000 likes. An Instagram user commented on it, “Those who are thinking why they are performing this stunt then let me tell you it is because the entrance/staircase are so narrow that this can’t be moved from them. That’s why this stunt. Majburi hai Bhai log.😮 ”.

Another user wrote, “am i the only one who waited till last of the video only because i was expecting ac outdoor unit getting destroyed 😂 😂 ”.

This is not the only video that has shown how heavy objects are transported up and down a building using improvised methods. In December last year, industrialist Anand Mahindra shared a video that showed a construction worker accelerating a static scooter to send bags of cement to the top floor of a building. The scooter’s engine provided power to a pulley attached to the building. Using the scooter’s power, a bag full of cement was lifted up.
