Vivo is taking the wraps off its latest premium smartphones, the V30 Pro and V30, and this dynamic duo is packing some serious camera muscle.

Let’s dive right into those cameras since that seems to be the marquee feature for these Vivo flagships. The top-end V30 Pro boasts a triple camera system that’s an imaging powerhouse. You get a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, joined by a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom for portraits, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.

A triple 50MP camera setup is a first for the lineup and is something we only see on Android flagships.

Not to be overshadowed, the standard V30 touts its own versatile triple array led by that same 50MP primary shooter and backed by a 50MP ultrawide cam. The only trade-off is a more basic 2MP macro/depth lens rather than the Pro’s dedicated telephoto optic.

Both phones flex their camera skills on the front as well, with matching 50MP selfie cameras. You can capture video at up to 4K 30fps using the front or rear units.

Under the hood, the V30 Pro picks up a Dimensity 8200 chip built on an efficient 4nm process. The display is 6.78 inches with a 1260p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It gets quite bright too, peaking out at 2800 nits.

The standard V30 cuts a few corners to reach a more affordable price point. It swaps in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 silicon instead of the Pro’s top-tier chip, though it shares the same 6.78-inch AMOLED panel.

Other common highlights include big 5,000mAh batteries with rapid 80W wired charging support, Android 14 with Vivo’s FunTouch 14 skin, and IP54 dust/splash resistance. Both support Sub-6 5G connectivity as well.

Vivo offers the phones in several RAM and storage configurations, with the V30 topping out at 12GB/512GB while the Pro pushes up to 12GB of RAM paired with up to 512GB of blazing-fast UFS 3.1 storage.

The Pro model starts at Rs 41,999 while the non-Pro model starts at Rs 33,999. Stay tuned for our full review of these devices.
