Samsung has announced that users can now upload PAN card, Aadhaar, driving license, vehicle registration certificates, Co-WIN vaccination certificates and other documents to its Wallet app.
The app combines features from Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass on Galaxy devices and introduces new functionalities like the ability to recharge and check FASTag accounts, options to book and save train tickets, check the current running status and even add train tickets by scanning the QR or barcode or uploading images and PDF to Samsung Wallet.
For those who travel by air, Samsung Wallet allows users to store their boarding passes and show proof of identity and travel documents needed to enter the airport directly. The company said the information and details will not be stored on their server and display on the device itself within the Samsung Wallet app.
The app also syncs content from Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass and lets you store tokenized credit and debit cards and pay via UPI, acting as a one-stop shop for all your digital documents and payment methods. On the Galaxy series of phones, Samsung Wallet comes preinstalled and can be accessed with a quick swipe up from the lock screen or home screen.
