OnePlus Fold: Latest leak reveals features of OnePlus’s first foldable smartphone

OnePlus’s first foldable smartphone—OnePlus Fold—is speculated to include a massive 7.8-inch foldable primary display along with a 6.3-inch cover display. The leak also indicates that the Fold will have an alert slider and will feature a premium glass sandwich design.

Prominent leakster @OnLeaks, the OnePlus Fold will have a 7.8-inch screen with a 1,900 x 2,100p (FHD+) resolution with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, along with LTPO technology. The 6.3-inch cover display is also said to offer up to a 120Hz refresh rate; however, it might not possess LTPO characteristics.

The OnePlus Fold is said to be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with up to 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, offering similar specifications as the OnePlus 11. Additionally, the OnePlus Fold is also expected to run on the optimized version of OxygenOS 13, based on Android 13 OS.

The report even suggests that the OnePlus Fold will have a triple camera setup at the back with a 48 MP primary camera, a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64 MP telephoto lens. The device is also said to include a 32 MP selfie camera on the cover display and a 20 MP selfie camera on the inside screen.

The leak also suggests that the OnePlus Fold will have a 4,800 mAh battery with support for up to 67W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. As of now, it’s unclear if the device supports wireless charging or will just offer wired charging capability.

As of now, there is no official confirmation on the launch date of the OnePlus Fold. However, according to a few reports, OnePlus is likely to unveil the Fold 4 in August to pit it against the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
