OnePlus has just unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, along with a more affordable variant, the OnePlus 12R. The phones boast premium specs and design, continuing OnePlus’s tradition of offering high-end features at relatively accessible price points.
As OnePlus’s newest flagship, the OnePlus 12 delivers a suite of cutting-edge capabilities. It’s powered by the brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, Qualcomm’s fastest mobile processor yet, promising blazing fast performance perfect for demanding apps and multitasking.
The OnePlus 12 sports a 6.82-inch quad HD+ LTPO OLED screen that offers an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, ensuring fluid visuals. The screen boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits according to OnePlus.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 12 packs a versatile triple lens rear setup, headlined by a 50MP main sensor, along with a 64MP telephoto camera and a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens. For selfies, it comes with a 32MP front facing camera.
The OnePlus 12 houses a 5,400 mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC wired charging for fast refuel times. It runs OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14, offering a clean software experience with useful customizations and optimizations.
Joining the OnePlus 12 is the more affordable OnePlus 12R. Despite the lower price point, the 12R retains many of the 12’s premium features.
It features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which while a generation older, should still ensure powerful performance. The 12R also has a triple camera setup like its pricier sibling, but with a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra wide angle lens and 2MP macro lens.
Like the OnePlus 12, the 12R offers superfast charging with 100W wired speeds. It also has an ample 5,500mAh battery capacity. Storage options include 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB configurations.
While not as packed with bells and whistles as the OnePlus 12, the 12R still delivers a well-rounded flagship-caliber experience for less.
Alongside the new phones, OnePlus also unveiled its latest wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds 3. These buds feature 10.4mm drivers, a 6mm tweeter, and active noise cancellation rated at 48dB.
With fast pairing, an IP55 rating, and up to 44 hours of total battery life, the OnePlus Buds 3 promise an immersive listening experience and enduring performance. At Rs 5,499, they present a more affordable option compared to premium buds from Samsung and Apple.
The OnePlus 12, 12R, and Buds 3 launched globally on January 23, 2024. In India, the OnePlus 12 starts at Rs 64,999 for the 12GB/256GB model, while the OnePlus 12R starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. The OnePlus Buds 3 are priced at Rs 5,499.
