iPhone 15 series to feature larger batteries: Report

Unlike Android OEMs, Apple refrains from sharing detailed battery specifications of its iPhones. Instead, the company focuses on revealing the real-time battery life of its devices, with an emphasis on practical use cases like web browsing and video streaming. This is why we only get the exact battery specifications of the iPhone once these devices go on sale.

According to a recent report from IT Home, the upcoming iPhone 15 series smartphones are rumoured to come with significantly larger batteries compared to their predecessors.

As per the report, the iPhone 15 is expected to feature a 3,877 mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Plus is said to boast the largest battery ever on an iPhone, with a capacity of 4,912 mAh. Similarly, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are anticipated to have larger batteries as well, with capacities of 3,650 mAh and 4,852 mAh, respectively.

Speculations suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be powered by a 3nm fabbed A17 processor, which, combined with the larger batteries, is expected to deliver improved battery life compared to their predecessors. Similarly, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus are rumoured to be equipped with the A16 Bionic chip, and with the higher capacity batteries, these devices should also offer enhanced battery performance.

All four models of the iPhone 15 series are rumoured to feature a USB Type-C port. While the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus are reported to get the updated Dynamic Island, the more premium iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be nearly identical to the iPhone 14 Pro series, with the charging port being the only exception.
