Disney+ Hotstar, one of the most popular OTT platforms in India has announced that it will be live-streaming the British band’s Ahmedabad concert. Part of Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’, the band has two shows at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25 and January 26. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Coldplay announced that it will be streaming the January 26 show on Disney+ Hotstar.

“Namaste to all our friends in India. We’re thrilled to share that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad will be streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar, so you can watch it from anywhere in India. We hope you’ll join us – we’re so excited to visit your beautiful country. Sending lots of love!”, said Chris Martin, the lead vocalist, pianist and co-founder of the rock band Coldplay.

In the meantime, you can head over to the Disney+ Hotstar website to set a reminder to watch Coldplay’s upcoming Ahmedabad concert. However, you will need to be subscribed to the OTT platform to watch the concert. For those wondering, Disney+ Hotstar’s Super plan, which lets you watch in FullHD costs Rs 299 for 3 months whereas the Premium plan, which lets you stream in 4K is priced at Rs 499 for 3 months.

Apart from Coldplay, the concert will also feature guest performances from Indian pop star Jasleen Royal, Zimbabwean singer Shone ZW and Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna, who previously collaborated with the band for the popular song “We Pray”.

Coldplay’s ongoing world tour is also one of the few ones that focuses on sustainability and inclusivity. The band has promised that it will be reducing the carbon emission of their 2025 tour by 50 per cent compared to their previous 2016-17 tour, for which the band has partnered with DHL. The rock band also promised that it would provide sign language interpreters and touch tours for those with low or no vision and use sensory technologies.

Ticket bookings for Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert opened earlier this week on BookMyShow, but as is the case with most of the band’s concerts in India, they were sold out within a few minutes.
