(Image: ASUS)ASUS’s Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launched the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld gaming consoles in India, alongside a full range of gaming accessories.
Developed in collaboration with Xbox, the new portable gaming devices are designed to deliver console-level performance in a compact, ergonomic form factor. Both ROG and Xbox claim the handhelds are optimised for high performance and intense gaming sessions.
The ROG Xbox Ally starts at Rs 69,990, while the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X is priced from Rs 1,14,990. Buyers can purchase the devices online via the ASUS website and Amazon, or offline through ASUS and ROG Exclusive Stores and authorised retail partners.
Both models feature a 7-inch Full HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, anti-reflective coating, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, ensuring sharp, tear-free visuals. For enhanced comfort during long play sessions, ASUS has refined the design with textured grips and an integrated palm rest for better ergonomics.
The key difference between the two models lies in their internal specifications. The ROG Xbox Ally runs on the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, featuring 16GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, and a 60Wh battery, weighing 670g. The ROG Xbox Ally X, built for peak performance, is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and offers up to 24GB RAM, 1TB internal storage, and a larger 80Wh battery, with a total weight of 715g.
On the software front, both handhelds come pre-loaded with Windows 11 Home, but boot into an optimised full-screen Xbox interface instead of the standard Windows desktop, offering a more console-like experience.
ROG has also introduced a new line of accessories, including the ROG Bulwark Dock (7-in-1), the ROG Xbox Ally Premium 2-in-1 Case, and stylish ROG Ranger and ROG Sling Bag carrying solutions. These accessories are expected to be available in the coming weeks.
