“Our iPhone Pro models represent the very best of Apple devices,” announced Tim Cook. Apple has finally unveiled its much-awaited premium flagship phones – the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The high-end smartphones from the Cupertino-based tech giant seem to have retained the design scheme of the former iPhone 14 Pro series but come enclosed in Titanium. The new devices come packed with an array of exciting features, making them stand out from all that was launched at the Wonderlust event.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have introduced four eye-catching Titanium shades. The new devices are backed by the upgraded A17 Pro Bionic chip. Apple claims the new chipset is faster than its competitors. The new chip promises greater efficiency and smoother performance. The iPhone 15 Pro is priced at Rs 134,900 (128GB) and Pro Max comes at Rs 159,900(256 GB)
“iPhone 15 Pro is the most Pro iPhone we ever created,” said Cook. When it comes to design, the iPhone 15 Pro models come with the most premium material ever on an iPhone titanium. The stunning new pro models come with contoured borders and reduced dimensions that do not hinder the display making the device even lighter. It also features the toughest glass material – a ceramic shield. While the iPhone 15 Pro features a 6.1-inch display, the Pro Max comes with a 6.7-inch display. The display offers up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
According to the company, the latest iteration of the Pro models has been built after meticulous consideration. The devices come in an enclosure made of Grade 5 Titanium, the same alloy that was used on the Mars rover. Another visible change is the absence of the slider. The slider has been replaced by a customisable Action button.
Along with a fluid Dynamic Island, the new iPhone Pro models feature the Pro Display, and Pro Motion and with iOS 17 it comes with the persistently on Standby Mode. When it comes to performance, the Pro models come with the industry first 3nm chip, fastest mobile GPU, and two high-performance cores. The new chipset promises three times the performance of the competition. For the first time, the new devices also feature a USB controller ensuring faster data transmission. The new A17 Pro chip has been developed to improve performance and run complex applications. In terms of connectivity, both the Pro models feature the USB Type-C port with USB 3.0 speeds.
The new devices offer Improved gaming with high-quality graphics with less power consumption. The new iPhone 15 Pro models are compatible with the most advanced game controllers. According to Apple, A17 Pro is laying the foundation for a new age of gaming. Owing to the upgraded chip, the device comes with improved resolution and graphics. Besides, it also features faster response times and life-like environments. Resident Evil 4 and other games once available only on console can now be played on iPhone 15 pro. Apple said that the iPhone 15 Pro is the first smartphone to natively have games like the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed edition.
When it comes to the camera, the iPhone 15 Pro comes with a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide camera. On the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple has accorded a 5X telephoto camera. The devices will also be able to shoot Spatial Video. Apple claims the Pro devices offer the most amazing pictures with incredible versatility, equivalent to seven camera lenses in one’s pocket.
