Twitter adds new dedicated pages for products to help shoppers

Twitter will start organising relevant Tweets about products and places on dedicated pages

Twitter is testing new ways to help users buy and discover products, according to an official blogpost from the company.

For starters, Twitter will start organising relevant tweets about products and places on dedicated pages. According to Twitter, “these pages will feature images and video about the product alongside information such as a description, price.” Additionally there will be an option to buy the product or book it or to visit the seller’s website for more information.

Twitter is also looking at new ways for people and brands to create and share Twitter collections of products and places. Users will be able to browse collections from influencers and get more information about the products or place.

Twitter has invited a group of curators to share their favourite collections and the list includes Demi Lovato, HBO’s Game of Thrones #GoT Fan Favorites, Nike with their LeBron Elite collection, Target’s Swim & Sun Ready collection to name a few.

The feature will be available on iOS and Android as well as the desktop version of the site.
