Reddit services have been restored after a brief outage that lasted around an hour. While the social media platform has not yet acknowledged what caused the outage, it is now accessible both on the web and on the app. This is the third such outage experienced by the platform in the last three months.

Users from across the world were unable to access Reddit on the desktop. While it is unclear as to what exactly caused this issue, users reported seeing the “no healthy upstream” error on their desktop when they tried to access the platform. Some users also reported seeing error messages that read, “Upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection failure” as well as “Our CDN was unable to reach our servers.”

According to DownDetector, there were over 200 reports of Reddit outages. Several users rushed to other social media platform  like Facebook and X to post about the issue that they were facing. However, according to redditstatus.com, “All systems are operational.”

Reddit had previously faced a similar outage back in September and August 2024. In both cases, the issue was swiftly resolved with the company calling the incidents a “degraded performance for Reddit.”
