Hosting AMA on Reddit just got a lot more sophisticated (Image credit: Reddit) Reddit made a number of new announcements regarding the platform’s Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Wednesday. According to the company, the newly introduced features such as the one to schedule and promote AMAs in advance, the ability to include guest collaborators, and the ability to easily inform participants of the official close of AMAs make hosting an AMA fun and easy.
TL;DR Hosting and participating in AMAs just got easier. As a host, you can now schedule and promote AMAs ahead of time, appoint co-hosts, and announce when your post is done. Attendees can now sign up for reminders ahead of time, get notified when the AMA starts, and quickly… pic.twitter.com/e9qdnuYoXv

For those who are participating in an AMA, Reddit adds new capabilities such as RSVP via a new button. Users will also receive reminders beforehand. Users can now sort responses by Answered versus Unanswered questions, helping them get exactly what they’re looking for. These features are currently rolling out to desktop users, and the same will be made available for mobile users soon.
The latest update also centralises all the AMA-related features for the very first time. The new suite of AMA features will be available for both hosts and participants. AMAs can now be found as a tab, which makes it easy to create a new AMA like a regular post on Reddit.
With the latest update, hosts can schedule an AMA up to 21 days in advance. At the end of an AMA, hosts can leave a final note. The updated menu also includes a new AMA hub with resources, best practices, how-tos, and more information on AMAs.
People from across the world host AMA on Reddit. With these new tools and capabilities, organising and hosting an AMA gets a lot easier.
