Smartphone makers primarily experiment with colour, material, and finish to design devices that stand out from the rest. Thanks to immense competition, this has become more evident than ever before, resulting in some of the most unique-looking smartphones, even in the entry-level segment.

Here are five such smartphones, launching soon in India with a unique take on design and finish.

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus

The Phone (2a) Plus from Nothing will launch on July 31. It is an upgraded version of the Phone (2a) with minor design changes.

Like the Phone (2a), the upcoming variant continues to feature a semi-transparent design with Glyph lighting. Nothing has also confirmed that the Phone (2a) Plus will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro. Other prominent features of the Phone (2a) Plus include up to 12 GB RAM, 256 GB of storage, and is expected to cost around Rs 25,000.

Motorola Edge 50

Motorola will introduce the latest entrant in the Edge 50 family — Motorola Edge 50, on August 1 with class-leading features like an IP68 water and dust-resistant rating, and Motorola is also calling the Edge 50 the world’s slimmest MIL-810H military-grade certified smartphone. The phone has a vegan leather back panel along with a metal frame, which should make it one of the most premium-looking in its segment, and this device is expected to cost less than the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

iQOO Z9s

iQOO Z9s is one of the two phones the company is launching in August. Looking at the official renders, the Z9s is a different-looking phone from the brand, featuring a unique camera island and a flash unit. Besides, iQOO will also introduce the Z9s Pro, which will be slightly more capable than the Z9s and is expected to pack a more powerful processor and cameras. iQOO is yet to reveal the exact launch date of the Z9s series.

Vivo V40 Pro

Vivo is introducing the next set of phones in the V series platform — V40 and the V40 Pro in August, featuring Zeiss-tuned cameras. In terms of design, the Vivo V40 Pro has a fresh look with a uniquely placed camera island with Zeiss branding, and the smartphone is also confirmed to offer an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

realme 13 Pro+
