Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is set to launch on August 2 at a special event in New York. Now, a new set of leaks have confirmed the smartphone will go on sale within days of its launch. According to 9to5Google, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will go up for sale on August 19 in the US. The device will be available at various platforms including T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. The report says the Galaxy Note 7 will come with Samsung Cloud to back up user’s data. Also, the company will give away 5GB of cloud space free to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 buyers.
Just days ahead of its launch, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 pictures were leaked online in press renders. The leaked pictures were shared by OnLeaks on Twitter and French tech website Nowhereelse. In fact, a video revealing the device in its full glory was shared on Weibo recently. Based on the video, we can say Galaxy Note 7 resembles the premium Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge quite a lot in terms of design. Other leaked images of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have highlighted a new upcoming feature on the phone: An Iris Scanner.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s specifications have also been revealed prior to the launch. The dimensions of the smartphone are 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm and it weighs 168 g. The Galaxy Note 7 will be water and dust-resistant, according to a report. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will run Android 6.0 with TouchWiz, with Edge display capability.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will feature a 5.7-inch 2K Super AMOLED display with dual curved edge display. The processor will be Exynos Octa-core processor. Rumours indicate there’s a version with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor slated to release as well. Galaxy Note 7 will come with 4GB RAM. The smartphone will sports a 12MP Dual Pixel camera with f/1.7 and OIS. Reports claim Samsung will go with reversible USB type-C charger and 3500 mAh battery in the Note 7.
Also pictures of a new Gear VR headset with bigger dimensions and a Type-C USB compatibility have also been leaked by OnLeaks on Twitter.
