Stylus: Nobody does a stylus better, not Apple, not Microsoft. The S-Pen is the pinnacle of writing on a digital surface, and it just got better. The tip of the S-Pen is now smaller and feels much more natural, in fact better than pen on paper. Also, it comes loaded with new features.

Translate and Magnify: The S-Pen triggers a lot of cool apps. I found the ability to translate any text or image on the phone using the pen a really cool feature and it just works, provided the input languages is one of the 30-odd Samsung has listed. There is also a magnify option that lets you zoom by 300 per cent anything on the screen. Great for people who are getting old.

Iris scanner: The Iris scanner is not really innovative, but Samsung has done a good job of its implementation. The scanner unlocks the phone is milliseconds and it can see the Iris despite spectacles. The only issue is that you need to swipe the screen to activate it, which seems to be an avoidable step.

Secure folder: The phone comes with a folder in which us can run a different account of app like Facebook or Whatsapp, all secure behind a password or Iris lock.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 offers improvement functions for the Stylus and a dual-edge display.

Screen resolution: The phone has a large 3500 mAh battery which should last a full day without much issue. However, Samsung is offering an added feature to make this battery last longer: the ability to decide what resolution you want for the screen. Users can choose HD, Full HD or QHD depending on the use case and thus conserve power. A really useful feature given that the QHD screen is not really of use all the time.
