Samsung Galaxy Note 6, which might launch ahead of the IFA show in Berlin, could come with a curved display like the ‘Edge’ series and a bigger 4000 mAh battery, according to the latest leaks.

A report at GSM HelpDesk, claims that while there will be no successor to the S6 edge +, and Samsung is currently testing two versions of the Note 6: one with an edge display and other with a regular display.

The fact that Samsung might not launch a new Galaxy S7 edge+ is a possibility since the S7 edge with its 5.7-inch curved display is closer in display size to the S6 edge+.

The report also claims that Samsung will introduce a 5.8-inch 2K display for the Note 5, and is currently testing devices with the flat and curved edge screens. It claims that Samsung has not yet decided which version of the Note 6 will be launched across the world.

Other hardware specs being reported are: 12 megapixel camera set-up seen in the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge series, along with 6GB RAM and a 4000 mAh battery.

With the Galaxy Note 5 one of the criticisms was the battery size was reduced from 3220 mAh in the Galaxy Note 4 to 3000 mAh. Samsung might be planning to fix that in the new Note 6.

We’ll have to wait and see which rumours come true with the Galaxy Note 6, although it won’t be surprising to see Samsung stick with the Glass and Metal design body that it has used in the S6, S7 and even the Note 5.  As far as the 6GB RAM and other rumours go, they need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
