Google is all set to announce the Pixel 9 series on August 13, but as is the case with the company’s new phones, the Pixel 9 lineup has already been leaked several times. While we already know much about what the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 XL will offer in terms of hardware and software, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is also said to feature a redesigned camera island, with Google apparently opting for a huge rectangular camera pill on the back. The upcoming foldable phone will most likely be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, which is said to bring significant performance improvements over its predecessor. To give you a quick recap, the original Pixel Fold is powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, which the company used for the Pixel 7 lineup. The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is said to sport a 6.3-inch cover screen and have an 8-inch Super Actua Flex display. This is a huge upgrade compared to the first gen Pixel Fold, which had a 5.8-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch inner display. According to a recent report by 91mobiles, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has appeared in the Camera FV-5 app’s device database. The database entry suggests that Google’s second foldable phone will have a 48MP OIS primary sensor which will take 12MP photos and have an aperture of f, which is the same as the original Pixel Fold. While details about other camera sensors are still not known, speculations suggest Google will stick to the previous generation’s 10.8MP ultrawide sensor and the 10.8MP telephoto lens that offers 5x optical zoom. The front of the phone is also said to sport a 10MP camera with f aperture, but it is still unclear whether this will be the camera on the cover screen or the internal display. As for the price, a previous report by a French publication suggested that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will start from €1,199, which roughly translates to Rs 1,09,775.
