OnePlus 2 will come with 4 GB LPDDR4 has been confirmed by the company. OnePlus 2, the success to the OnePlus One, will launch on July 27 via a virtual reality launch, the first one ever. OnePlus wrote on their blog, "the RAM inside the OnePlus 2 is the latest and greatest on the market: LPDDR4. With LPDDR4, you’ll see faster loading times, smoother gameplay, and never-before-seen energy saving features." [related-post] According to OnePlus, "LPDDR4 will give twice the bandwidth performance as the LPDDR3. The RAM of the OnePlus 2 uses a lower operating voltage than its predecessor, decreasing from 1.2V to 1.1V. And with speeds up to 32 GB/s, it is also twice as fast as the LPDDR3." The company added that the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor uses all the 4GB RAM "to its maximum potential." The 4GB LPDDR4 RAM is not the only bit of information about the OnePlus 2 that we know about the phone. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has promised that the smartphone will be priced under $450. The OnePlus 2 will come with the Snapdragon 810 chip specifically engineered for the phone and a Type C-USB port. The Type C-USB port supports various new USB standards like USB 3.1, USB power delivery (USB PD), HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA with adapters.
