OnePlus 13s with Snapdragon 8 Elite to launch in India as a ‘compact flagship’

With a 6.32-inch display, dual 50 MP cameras, a large 6,260 mAh battery, and 100W fast charging, the OnePlus 13s aims to deliver premium performance in a smaller form factor.

On Monday, OnePlus confirmed the launch of a “compact flagship smartphone” that will arrive as the OnePlus 13s in India, instead of the OnePlus 13T. While the company has not specified the launch date, it has confirmed that the OnePlus 13s will be available in two shades: Black Velvet and Pink Satin.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, OnePlus refers to the 13s as a compact flagship smartphone with a 6.32-inch screen, making it the most compact model, ever-so-slightly smaller than the Xiaomi 15, which has a 6.36-inch screen.

This is also the first OnePlus smartphone to replace the alert slider with a programmable action button, similar to the iPhone 16. The phone features a dual-camera setup at the rear, likely consisting of a 50 MP main sensor and a 50 MP telephoto lens.

Despite being a compact smartphone, and considering the fact that the OnePlus 13s is an exact replica of the OnePlus 13T, the device is expected to pack a large 6,260 mAh battery — the biggest battery that OnePlus has ever offered on a smartphone — along with 100W fast charging support. However, unlike the OnePlus 13, it might lack features like wireless charging.

The OnePlus 13s is expected to ship with the latest Android 15-based OxygenOS 15, with AI capabilities, and it is likely to receive as many software updates as the OnePlus 13.

In terms of positioning, the OnePlus 13s is likely to be an upper mid-range smartphone, sitting between the OnePlus 13R, which costs Rs 42,999, and the OnePlus 13, which is priced at Rs 69,999. The base variant of the OnePlus 13s, possibly with at least 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, is likely to be priced around Rs 50,000 in India. Like most OnePlus phones, the 13s might remain exclusive to Amazon.
