Nothing might unveil the Phone (2a) at MWC. (Image Source: Nothing/YouTube)Nothing last week confirmed the existence of the Phone (2a), which has been speculated by several tipsters in the last few months. While the London-based phone maker did not reveal any details or hardware specifications, we have some idea of what the company’s budget offering has to offer. From certification listings to leaked renders, here is everything we know about the Nothing Phone (2a) so far.
Last week, Nothing confirmed via its official handle on X (previous Twitter) that the much-rumoured Phone (2a) is “coming soon”. While the company did not share any information on when the phone will be launched in India, it looks like the upcoming smartphone might be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, which will start on February 26.
As is the case with previous Nothing phones, it looks like the Phone (2a) will be available for purchase on Flipkart. The e-commerce platform has already made a dedicated microsite for the phone that currently only hosts a video where members of the Nothing team talk about the upcoming device.
The Nothing Phone (2a) might have the same curved edges as its predecessors, but one of the much-rumoured big changes is the lack of the company’s iconic Glyph interface, which is present on both the Nothing Phone (1) and the Phone (2). However, Nothing seems to have retained the transparent back panel.
A few months ago, a leaked render showed that the Phone (2a) would also ditch the rear vertical camera setup in favour of a mid-centred horizontal one, but a recent report from SmartPrix in partnership with the known tipster OnLeaks hints that it will have the same vertical camera setup as its predecessors.

As we can see in the image, the Nothing Phone (2a) may have a huge circular element to the right of the dual cameras with some lines taking up the lower half of the phone. But since nothing is official at the moment, we advise you to take this information with a grain of salt since things may change down the line.
Codenamed Aerodactyl, Nothing’s upcoming phone might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensirty 7200, a mid-range chipset that powers last year’s mid-range devices like the Vivo V27 and iQOO Z7 Pro. It might feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen and have a dual camera setup that consists of a 50MP primary camera backed by a 50MP ultrawide sensor.
While we have no information about the battery capacity or the charging speed, some rumours hint that the company might drop wireless charging support, which is a staple on Nothing devices. As for the price, the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to replace the Phone (1), which suggests that the company might price it under Rs 30,000.
