The company is also calling out other budget smartphone makers for "overlooking this category," and says, "We're giving it our full attention," indicating the CMF Phone 1 will be unique among its counterparts. As per leaks, the CMF Phone 1 is said to miss out on the Glyph lighting, a staple feature on Nothing Phones. This is also the first smartphone from the CMF series, which until now, was limited to accessories like smartwatches and earbuds. Despite being a budget offering, the CMF Phone 1 is reported to include a large 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also said to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7200 SoC, making it a 5G-capable device. Like previous Nothing smartphones, the CMF Phone 1 is rumoured to have a 50 MP dual-camera setup at the back. Additionally, it is said to pack a decent 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging. The device is also likely to ship with the latest Android 14 OS, possibly with the NothingOS 2.5 skin on top. Currently, the Phone (2a) (review) is Nothing's most affordable smartphone, starting at Rs 23,999. The upcoming CMF Phone 1 is likely to undercut this price and could become the company's first smartphone priced well under the Rs 20,000 mark.
