The launch of Apple’s iPhone 16 series is less than a month away. With every new series, Apple is known for introducing unique shades to help it distinguish from the outgoing models.
This time around, with the iPhone 16 Pro series, Apple is again expected to play around with the colour palette, and a new leak by Sonny Dickson on X suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available in a new bronze colour that will replace iPhone 15 Pro’s blue titanium.

However, a report from Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims otherwise, suggesting the iPhone 16 Pro will be available in black, white or silver, grey and rose gold.
As per the images shared by Dickson, the new bronze iPhone 16 Pro is unlike any iPhone that Apple has launched so far. In fact, it also looks a lot different from the mystic bronze variant of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that Samsung introduced back in 2020.
Despite making use of the same premium titanium frame, the iPhone 16 Pro is said to offer a different look and feel, offering a glossier finish compared to the brushed look on the iPhone 15 Pro. It is said that the slightly curved titanium frame on the iPhone 16 Pro might mimic the stainless steel look of the iPhone 14 Pro. However, it will be less prone to scratches as titanium is a much stronger material than steel.
On top of these changes, the iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to include a bigger action button and a new capture button, which are also coming to the base iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus models.
Except for these design changes, the iPhone 16 Pro will maintain the same industrial look that dates back to the iPhone 12 Pro, featuring a large triple camera set-up at the back with a LiDAR sensor and an LED flash.
The iPhone 16 Pro series is possibly getting a much bigger upgrade compared to its predecessor, which includes a large 6.3-inch screen on the iPhone 16 Pro and a massive 6.9-inch screen on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the biggest display ever featured on an iPhone. Like their predecessors, these screens will be sharper, colour-accurate, and continue to offer a 120Hz refresh rate with the same Super Retina XDR moniker, featuring a pill-shaped Dynamic Island at the top.
The iPhone 16 Pro series is said to be powered by an A18 Pro chip, the most powerful mobile chip from Apple, with at least 8 GB RAM. This time around, both the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to start at 256 GB of storage, going all the way up to 1 TB.
A bigger display also means more space for a battery, and according to a leaker named Instant Digital, the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 3,577mAh battery while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a much bigger 4,676mAh battery, again the biggest ever featured on an iPhone. Both iPhones will ship with iOS 18 out of the box; however, the new Apple Intelligence features won’t be available until the arrival of the iOS 18.1 update.
Apple hasn’t increased the price of its iPhones in the US in years, and the iPhone 16 Pro series might continue to sell at a similar price as its predecessor. According to a report by Money Control, along with the iPhone 16 series, Apple will also manufacture the iPhone 16 Pro series in India for the first time, which might lead to a slight price reduction in the country.
