iPadOS 18 supported devices: Here are all compatible iPads eligible for latest software update

At the upcoming “It’s Glowtime” event, Apple is most likely to introduce its next set of iPhones to the world. While we might not see new iPads at the launch event, the release of iPadOS 18 will unlock the full potential of the existing iPads, especially the recently introduced M4-powered iPad Pro with Apple Intelligence.

Just like the iOS 18 update, iPadOS 18 will be rolled out to eligible iPads post the launch event. The next iteration of iPadOS introduces several new features and generative AI capabilities. The update also allows users to further customise their iPads, including the ability to rearrange the icons and change its colour, customisable control centre, and more.

Just like iPhones, the iPadOS 18 update can be bifurcated into two. A regular iPadOS update is available for the models powered by A-series chips and an Apple Intelligence-infused iPadOS 18 update for select iPad Air and iPad Pro models.

If you have an entry-level iPad or an iPad mini, those devices won’t gain Apple Intelligence. Similarly, even some of the previous iPad Pro and iPad Air models, powered by the A-series chips will also miss out on Apple Intelligence.

Any iPad, powered by the M1, M2, or M4 series of chips with at least 8 GB of RAM will be eligible for both iPadOS 18 and Apple Intelligence.

Before trying to install iPadOS 18 on your eligible iPad, make sure it’s connected to a high-speed Wi-Fi network and has at least a 50 per cent charge. Also, ensure that the device that you are trying to install has at least 10 GB of free internal storage.

Debris found in Dal Lake could be from missile Pak fired during Op Sindoor

Debris believed to be from a missile fired by Pakistan during Operation Sindoor in May has been found in Srinagar's Dal Lake. The debris has been handed over to the Air Force for further investigation. Sources say the target may have been a military installation in Srinagar, which is close to the lake. The make of the missile is yet to be determined.
