The upcoming variant of the Xbox Series X looks quite similar to the current Xbox Series S, the affordable console from Microsoft. According to a report by Exputer, while the upcoming console variant looks similar in design, the internals have been upgraded.
It is also suggested that the upcoming variant could cost $50 to $100 less than the current Xbox Series X model, and the removal of the Blu-ray disc drive could help the company achieve a slightly lower price tag. This device could sit between the regular Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X, performing similarly to the flagship model.

A few months ago, details of the refreshed version of the Xbox Series X were leaked in an FTC vs Microsoft document, which indicated that the upcoming model is an all-digital device capable of playing games at 4K resolution with improved wireless networking capability, including support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and more.
On top of that, the Xbox Series X refresh was also suggested to be a power-efficient console with a 15 per cent lower PSU power, improved low-power standby mode, and even the console’s packaging is said to be made out of recycled materials.
As per the leaks, Microsoft could introduce the Xbox Series X refresh in the second half of 2024, just in time for the holiday seasons, possibly with a price tag of $400 to $450, which could be around Rs 40,000 in India.
