Valorant, the popular first person tactical multiplayer shooting game from Riot Games is finally coming to the PlayStation and Xbox. Originally launched in 2020 for PC, Valorant will be available in a limited beta for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X users starting from June 14.

While the beta version of the game will be limited to those living in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Japan, it is possible that the game will be available to other regions in the near future.

According to Riot Games, the console version of Valorant features “custom-built gameplay”, meaning the developers may have optimised it for controllers. While the game won’t support cross-play between PC and consoles, the company says players will be able to access “connected, shared inventory” and have cross-progression between accounts. The console version of the game will also get new patches, maps, content, agents and other things as soon as it is out on the PC.

The console version of the game is also slated to get a new shooting mode called “Focus” that allows players to use hip-fire whenever with reduced sensitivity. If you enroll in Valorant Limited Beta, all agents you have on your main account will be available for play. Also, all your skins and battle passes will be carried over from the PC to the console version or vice versa.
