Zomato AI is currently a Gold exclusive feature (Image credit: Zomato) Zomato, the online food delivery app has now fused AI to help its Gold customers choose their next meal. Users can now leverage the built-in AI chatbot to decide their next food order without leaving the app.
“This intelligent, intuitive, and interactive foodie has been meticulously designed to assist you in placing orders. It aligns with your momentarily unique food & beverage preferences, dietary needs, and even your moods.” Zomato wrote on an official blogpost.
Users need to update their Zomato app to access the AI chat feature. Similarly, it is also highlighted that the Zomato AI is currently limited to Gold users, which can help users clear some doubts regarding food and beverages.
Zomato AI offers a unique feature called a multiple-agent framework that enables the chatbot to process “a variety of prompts for different tasks.” If you are looking for a specific dish, Zomato AI can list all the nearby restaurants that serve that delicacy and it can also suggest popular dishes and restaurants.
According to Zomato, this technology has been developed in-house and offers a natural texting experience. It has been built using internal LLM Orchestrator Service – Firefly, and Vector DB with a self-developed generative AI stack.
Zomato says that its AI tool supports the natural style of texting, enabling users to send multiple messages, and the AI will respond in real-time. It could even answer questions like “What should I eat when I’m hungover?” or “Can I eat something that is high protein and low carb?” and the AI will deliver tailored responses and food recommendations.
Not just Zomato, Swiggy also uses AI to suggest food to its users. Announced back in July, unlike Zomato’s approach, users on Swiggy can leverage generative AI using text inputs and voice searches, which is powered by GPT-4 and is expected to go pilot in September.
