Microsoft-owned professional networking platform, LinkedIn, has unveiled a new feature that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to generate posts for its users. The feature allows members to create AI-generated posts by providing a concise 30-word prompt, saving time and effort in crafting content.
“When it comes to posting on LinkedIn, we’ve heard that you generally know what you want to say, but going from a great idea to a full fledged post can be challenging and time consuming. So, we’re starting to test a way for members to use generative AI directly within the LinkedIn share box,” noted Keren Baruch, chief product officer of LinkedIn, with a post on the platform.
Entering an outline of the desired post in the designated section fetches users an initial draft, which users can review, edit, and enhance before hitting the “post” button. LinkedIn says that this feature will be tested initially before being rolled out to all users.
Previously, LinkedIn also introduced an AI-powered tool to assist hiring managers and marketers. The tool, which leverages OpenAI models, analyses data extracted from the marketer’s LinkedIn page and Campaign Manager configurations to generate multiple versions of an advertisement.
LinkedIn’s foray into AI-powered features first with the introduction of AI-based writing suggestions for profile enhancements and job descriptions.
