Apple Intelligence flagship AI features will only be coming to iPhones in 2025, says report

Although Apple has already issued two developer betas for iOS 18, none of these builds have Apple Intelligence. The brand has already confirmed that Apple Intelligence will be beta-tested starting this fall, and some features will only be available early next year. The company is also expected to release the first public beta of iOS 18 in the next few weeks, which is likely to be more stable and will be available for over 20 different iPhones.

Some of the Apple Intelligence features are powered by on-device computing, while some utilise cloud technology called Apple Private Cloud, which is said to be more secure and private compared to a conventional AI solution.

Apple is speculated to roll out the new AI features one by one, which simply means it is likely to introduce simple features at first and unveil the flagship AI features later. Besides iPhones, iPads, and Macs powered by the Apple Silicon M series chips are also eligible for Apple Intelligence, and these devices are also expected to gain AI features by late 2024 or early 2025.
