Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a blistering half century while Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer hit some late sixes to ease RR over the line.
On Monday, Lucknow Super Giants joined the ranks of teams like Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad to be eliminated from contention to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. LSG’s hopes to make the cut for the playoffs ended after their six-wicket defeat to the Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow.
So far, there are three teams who are assured of qualifying for the IPL playoffs: Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings. This means that just two teams are now left standing to fight for the one playoffs spot remaining. Those two teams — Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals — will incidentally play against each other on Wednesday in a group stage clash that will decide which of the two teams will be in the Playoffs.

Gujarat Titans are on top of the IPL 2025 standings with 18 points while Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings both have 17 points. These three teams have secured a spot for the playoffs. RR and CSK, meanwhile are still 9th and 10th respectively.
