DC vs PBKS tip-off XI: Curran keeps his place, Raza comes in for Rajapaksa, Rovman Powell likely to play

Similar to the Capitals Punjab has struggled with the bat apart from Shikhar Dhawan there has been nothing consistent from other batters. However, in the last few games despite managing to post decent totals on the board they could not defend and look like whose wheels are coming to off the side. Arshdeep Singh has gone off the boil in the tournament whilst Sam Curran’s impact has been minimal with the ball in hand.

Sam Curran to keep his place

The most expensive player of IPL Sam Curran has not delivered the goods for the side this season. It is fair to say that he was the main reason for the loss against the Kolkata Knight Riders when he gave away 20 runs to Andre Russell in the 19th over. He struggled with his lines and length and hit his mark this season. With the bat in hand too he has blown hot and cold. Despite a poor run of form, he will remain in the side.

Sikander Raza inplace of Bhanuka Rajapaksa

Rajapaksa coming off an injury did not have much of an impact in the last game. In the five games Raza has played Punjab has four of them. He has been in decent form coming into the tournament and played some handy cameos helping Punjab get over the line. He is more than a handy off-spinner. On Delhi’s surface which is on the slower side, he might be a real handful.

Rovman Powell into the side

Rilee Rossouw has been disappointing this season with the bat. His reputation has preceded his performances. The Capitals would be looking to get the hard-hitting West Indian into the side who can contribute with his bowling if needed and is an exceptional fielder.
