Heavyweights Delhi are in serious trouble of getting eliminated at the group league stage after Himachal Pradesh beat Gautam Gambhir-led team by 13 runs in a north zone leg of the Vijay Hazare One day championship.
Delhi now have lost two out of their three zonal matches having lost the opening round game against Jammu and Kashmir before winning against Punjab in the next game.
Delhi are in sight of getting eliminated of the National One Day Championships for the second season in a row having failed to cross the initial hurdle during last edition also.
Batting first, Himachal scored 244 for six in 50 overs with opener Raghav Dhawan scoring 89 off 120 balls with nine fours and two sixes. Ashish Nehra was clobbered for 68 runs from 10 overs.
In reply, Gambhir (23), Sehwag (11) continued their poor form with the bat as Delhi were all-out for 231 in 50 overs with Raghav picking up three for 47. India A player Rishi Dhawan and former IPL player Vikramjit Malik got two wickets apiece.

Ton-up Dagar powers UP to win
Uttar Pradesh rode on opener Mukul Dagar’s fine century and a clinical display from their bowlers to beat Rajasthan by 75 runs in a Central Zone leg.
Put into bat, Uttar Pradesh piled up 283 for eight with Dagar hitting 106 from 122 balls with the help of 13 fours. Parvinder Singh contributed 60 from 55 balls down the order. In reply, Rajasthan could only manage 208/8 in their 50 overs.

Karn shines in Railways win
Leggie Karn Sharma celebrated his India call-up by guiding Railways to a five-wicket win over Madhya Pradesh in a Central Zone match.
Sharma, who has been selected for India’s remaining two ODIs against Sri Lanka and the tour of Australia, took three wickets before hitting a 32-run cameo in his team’s victory.
Railways raced past Madhya Pradesh’s 241 for five with 14 balls to spare.

Manish Pandey smashed a quickfire unbeaten century before pacer Abhimanyu Mithun scalped four wickets to guide Karnataka to a comfortable 104- run win over Tamil Nadu in a South Zone leg match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Coming on to bat a No. 4, Pandey scored an attacking 101 off just 74 balls with the help of 10 fours and three sixes, while Australia-bound K L Rahul hit a sedate half-century to enable Karnataka post 313 for six in their alloted 50 overs.
