PM Modi is likely to hold a high-level meeting with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh (File photo)Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a high-level meeting with the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh on Wednesday to discuss the Polavaram Project. This will be the first time that the Prime Minister will directly engage in talks with all four states on this matter.

The Polavaram Project has sparked concerns in Odisha and Chhattisgarh, particularly over flooding risks and potential displacement in tribal-dominated areas. With the Prime Minister stepping in directly, stakeholders are hopeful for a breakthrough, or at least a clearer roadmap to address long-standing issues.
